The Red Cross of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized the 12th traditional summer youth camp, which was held from 10th to 14th of August, 2017. in the Camp settlement on Boračko lake.
This camp has gathered 60 young volunteers from the Red Cross branches of Bihać, Cazin, Orašje, Tuzla, Banovići, Živinice, Kalesija, Lukavac, Zenica, Žepče, Kiseljak, Donji Vakuf, Fojnica, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Mostar, Goražde, Ilidža, Centar, Ilijaš, Novo Sarajevo, Stari Grad, Brčko, Bijeljina, Trebinje, Srbac, and the camp was also attended by a participant from Milan (Republic of Italy).
At the opening of the 12th traditional youth camp, young volunteers were addressed by Mr. Namik Hodžić, Secretary General of RCFBIH , Mr.Branko Leko, Secretary General of RCSBIH and Mr. Jasmin Nikšić, a Youth coordinator in RCFBIH and representatives of RCSBIH Youth Coordination body Ms. Eleonora Pikaus and Ms. Ana Gugolj, Ms. Snežana Tomić, a representative of Youth of Red Cross of Republika Srpska and Mr. Edin Šarić, a host – President of the Scout Association of the City of Zenica.
In the educational part of the Camp, the participants gained knowledge from the First Aid and the Prevention of Trafficking Program, and they will transfer the acquired knowledge to their peers in their communities.
As part of the summer youth camp, on August 12, 2017, the International Youth Day was marked with occasional activities, demonstration exercise, sports games and socializing with camp fire and music.
